The government has confirmed that it has no plans to limit WhatsApp calls and VoIP.

 Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid emphasized that the government has no plans to limit internet-based voice and video calling services or voice over IP (VoIP), including the WhatsApp Call service.

This statement was made to clarify news that has caused unrest in the community.

"I emphasize that the government is not planning or considering restrictions on WhatsApp calls. The information circulating is incorrect and misleading," said Meutya Hafid in a statement
