Abu Obeida: We cannot guarantee a return to partial deals if the occupation persists. We are prepared for a long war of attrition

In his first video address since the resumption of the war of extermination last March, Abu Obeida said, "We are closely monitoring the ongoing negotiations, and we hope they will result in an agreement and a deal that guarantees an end to the war against our people, the withdrawal of the occupation forces, and relief for our people."

He added, "But if the enemy is stubborn and renounces this round, as it has done every time, we cannot guarantee a return to partial deals, nor to the ten-prisoner proposal," stressing that Palestinian factions are prepared to wage a long battle of attrition against the Israeli occupation.

Abu Obeida expressed the Qassam Brigades' full support for the Palestinian resistance's negotiating delegation's position in the indirect negotiations with Israel, noting that "a comprehensive deal was repeatedly proposed in recent months in which we would hand over all the enemy's prisoners at once, but the war criminal Netanyahu and his Nazi ministers rejected this offer."

He added, "It became clear to us that the criminal Netanyahu government is not concerned about the prisoners because they are soldiers, that their case is not a priority, and that they have prepared the public in the entity to accept the idea of killing them all. However, we have insisted on preserving them as much as possible until now."

Operations against the occupation army

Abu Obeida pointed out that Qassam fighters had attempted in recent weeks to capture Israeli soldiers, but the occupation had resorted to mass killings of its own soldiers suspected of being captured. He added, "We have killed and wounded hundreds of enemy soldiers, in addition to thousands suffering from psychological illnesses and trauma, at a time when the number of soldiers committing suicide is increasing due to the horrific bloody acts they are committing and the horror of the resistance they are facing."

He stated that Qassam fighters "surprise the enemy with new and diverse tactics and methods, having learned lessons from the longest confrontation in our people's history," indicating that "qualitative operations are continuing, including targeting vehicles with shells and explosive devices, direct engagement with Israeli forces, sniping at soldiers, blowing up buildings and tunnel openings, and carrying out complex ambushes and raids."

He added: "Twenty-one months after the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa and the Zionist Nazi war against our people, we affirm that our mujahideen and their brothers in the resistance factions are fully prepared to continue a long battle of attrition against the occupation, regardless of its forms of aggression."

Abu Obeida addressed the occupation operation, which he called "Gideon's Chariots," saying, "We confronted this operation, and we continue to confront it, with a series of 'David's Stones' operations. We are waging an unequal confrontation, side by side with the mujahideen and resistance fighters from our brothers in the resistance factions, especially our brothers in the Al-Quds Brigades, with unparalleled faith and great strength."

He continued, "Our fight is a matter of principle, an indisputable right, and a sacred religious and national duty. We have no choice but to fight with all our strength, determination, and great courage, with God's help and support. We will fight with the stones of the earth, with our willpower, and with the faithful men who, with a few weapons, can perform amazing miracles, thanks to God."

He noted that "the strategy and decision of the Qassam leadership at this stage is to ensure a deadly infliction on enemy soldiers, carry out focused, qualitative operations from zero range, and seek to carry out operations to capture Zionist soldiers."

A message to the leaders and scholars of the nation

Abu Ubaidah addressed the leaders of the Islamic and Arab nations, saying: "You are our adversaries before God Almighty. You are the adversaries of every orphaned child, every bereaved woman, every displaced, homeless, grieving, wounded, and starving person. Your necks are burdened with the blood of tens of thousands of innocents who were let down by your silence."

He continued: "This criminal Nazi enemy would not have committed this genocide in your presence and before your eyes unless he was safe from punishment, guaranteed silence, and bought betrayal. We do not absolve anyone of responsibility for this bloodshed, nor do we exempt anyone who has the power to act, each according to his ability and influence."

Abu Obeida stressed that "all initiatives and solidarity of free people around the world, whether successful or aborted by Zionist dictates, are a source of pride for our people. We call for their escalation and continuation, and for exposing this enemy by all means and in all arenas and fields."

He pointed out that "attempts to employ mercenaries and agents of the occupation under Arab names are a sign of failure and a sure recipe for defeat. These agents will be nothing but a burnt card in the ocean of our people's awareness, dignity, and rejection of betrayal. The enemy's spending on them will be a source of regret, calamity, and a clear loss for the occupation and its agents."

Israel continues its war on Gaza while conducting indirect negotiations with Hamas in Qatar since July 6 to conclude a prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement, amid reports of progress in the negotiations.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
