The Ministry of Communication and Digital is strengthening efforts to protect children in the digital space from the risk of misuse of deepfake technology through three main strategies: improving digital literacy, taking action against harmful content, and implementing child protection regulations.
"Komdigi is committed to creating a safe digital space for all. We are actively promoting digital literacy education, taking down negative content, and collaborating with law enforcement to combat digital crime," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria.
According to him, the biggest challenge today comes from the misuse of technology such as deepfakes and increasingly sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI).
