The Ministry of Communication and Digital is collaborating with several ministries to implement Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of Electronic Systems for Child Protection to strengthen child protection in the digital space.
This collaboration was marked by a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Tunas PP signed by the Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti, Minister of Population and Family Development Wihaji, and Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi.
"Today marks a concrete step in our cross-sector collaboration, in line with the president's message to always be united and carry out activities together," said Meutya during the signing of the memorandum of understanding at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).
Meutya explained that PP Tunas is here to protect children from the risks of negative impacts of the digital space, such as contact with unknown people, exposure to age-inappropriate content, exploitation of children as consumers, threats to personal data security, addiction, and psychological health disorders.
