The occupation army stated in a statement that it targeted facilities in the port of Hodeidah, bombed fuel tankers and engineering vehicles working to restore the port's infrastructure, in addition to attacking ships and boats used by the Houthis for military purposes.
The statement noted that "the Israeli army will continue to target and destroy Houthi military sites in the port of Hodeidah."
For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz spoke about attacking Houthi targets in Hodeidah, stating that "Yemen's fate is Iran's fate."
Katz continued, "The Houthis will pay a heavy price for firing rockets at Israel, and we will work forcefully to prevent any attempt to rehabilitate Houthi infrastructure in Yemen."
For its part, Houthi-affiliated media outlets confirmed that a series of Israeli airstrikes targeted the country's port of Hodeidah.
Last Friday, the Houthis attacked Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv with a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile, while the Israeli military confirmed that it had intercepted the missile.
The Houthis affirm their commitment to continuing their attacks on Israel until it ends its 22-month-long war of extermination against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide, backed by the United States, left more than 200,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and a famine claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
