This came during raids carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in various locations in the West Bank, concentrated in the city of Nablus (north).
The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported that "Israeli occupation forces stormed the vicinity of the western cemetery in the city of Nablus, raided a house and fired live bullets, wounding citizen Fadi Abu Sharkh, before arresting him. They also prevented Red Crescent crews from reaching the house to provide first aid." The sources indicated that the nature of Abu Sharkh's injuries is not yet known.
In the same context, the army arrested a number of Palestinians in several governorates during raids and house searches, concentrated in the governorates of Bethlehem (south) and Tulkarm (north).
In a related context, the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported on Friday that Palestinian settlers stole and killed dozens of sheep in the northern Jordan Valley. Mahdi Daraghmeh, head of the Al-Maleh village council, said, “Settlers stole dozens of sheep belonging to families in Al-Maleh in the northern Jordan Valley, and killed about 117 of them after taking them to the nearby Al-Shaq area.”
"The settlers killed the sheep with knives and live bullets, in a dangerous escalation against citizens and their property in the northern Jordan Valley," Draghmeh added.
According to WAFA, the al-Maleh area witnessed a difficult night after armed settlers attacked Palestinian tents, assaulted them and their property, stole their livestock, and killed dozens of them.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 198,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, more than 10,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of many.
In parallel with the annihilation of Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,000 Palestinians and the injury of approximately 7,000 others, according to Palestinian data.
