State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi denied the 32 percent reciprocal tariff imposed by the United States government on Indonesia in connection with Indonesia's membership in the BRICS economic group.
According to Prasetyo, the import tariffs imposed by United States President Donald Trump do not only apply to Indonesia, but also to 21 other countries.
"In our opinion, there really is no (relationship with BRICS). If you pay attention, it doesn't only apply to Indonesia," said Prasetyo Hadi during a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
The tariff negotiation team led by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has also been in Washington, DC, USA to continue negotiating efforts so that the US Government can review and even provide tariff reductions.
