The Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls for international action to put an end to settler crimes in the West Bank.

The ministry said in a statement: "The international community must stop its double standards in dealing with the issues and suffering of our people, and take the necessary measures to implement international legitimacy resolutions and put an end to the crimes of terrorist settler militias in the occupied West Bank."

She continued: "Among these crimes, yesterday, Friday, were the martyrdom of two citizens from the town of Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya: Muhammad Rizq Hussein Al-Shalabi (23 years old), who was shot by settlers and left to bleed for several hours, and Saif Al-Din Kamil Abdul Karim Muslat (23 years old), who also holds American citizenship, after being severely beaten to death."

She pointed to the burning of Palestinian homes and the wounding of dozens of residents by settler gunfire during their attack on the town of Sinjil, stressing that "the settlers' crimes against our people constitute organized state terrorism, part of an official Israeli policy hostile to peace, aimed at expanding its colonial plans by providing support and backing to terrorist settler elements to commit further crimes."

She stressed the "need to hold terrorist settler organizations accountable, prosecute them, and impose immediate sanctions on those who support them and provide them with political and security protection."

Data from the Palestinian Settlement and Wall Resistance Commission indicates that the number of settlers in the West Bank reached approximately 770,000 by the end of 2024, distributed across 180 settlements and 256 outposts, including 138 outposts classified as pastoral and agricultural.

According to the Commission's data, settlers carried out 2,153 attacks in various areas of the occupied West Bank during the first half of this year, resulting in the deaths of six Palestinians.

In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 998 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 18,000 others, according to Palestinian data.

This comes as Israel, with full American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 195,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced.
