The Ministry of Health stated that exposure to air pollution can be harmful to human health, so there are several things parents need to do to protect children who are now starting to actively attend school.
"Please note that both indoor and outdoor air pollution have negative impacts on human health across all age groups," said Aji Muhawarman, Head of the Communications and Public Information Bureau of the Ministry of Health, when contacted.
Aji said that exposure to air pollution risks causing asthma, acute respiratory infections, cardiovascular disease, lung disease, and insulin resistance in young age groups such as children and adolescents.
