The Ministry of Health said there are several types of substances or particles that people need to be wary of when they are in areas with air pollution.
"Bad air usually contains dangerous particles and gases," said Aji Muhawarman, Head of the Communications and Public Information Bureau at the Ministry of Health, when contacted.
Aji mentioned particles like PM2.5 and PM10, ozone (O₃), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), and carbon monoxide (CO). All of these particles have negative impacts on health.
