Two martyrs and arrests during ongoing Israeli raids in the occupied West Bank

The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported Monday evening that the arrests took place in the Dhnaba suburb east of Tulkarm, where three young men were detained at the Jabara military checkpoint south of the city, while the fourth was arrested following a raid on his home in the same suburb.

In a related development, Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Tubas, the towns of Sebastia northwest of Nablus, Birzeit, and Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah, without reporting any results. They also raided neighborhoods in the southern city of Hebron, without any injuries or arrests, according to eyewitnesses.

In continuation of settler attacks, WAFA reported that a group of settlers threw stones at Palestinian vehicles near the Yitzhar settlement, south of Nablus, shattering the windows of one of the cars. WAFA noted that such attacks have recently been repeated in the area.

In the southern West Bank, settlers stormed the Susya community, southeast of the town of Yatta in Hebron, but residents' intervention prevented the attack from continuing.

At dawn on Tuesday, 16-year-old Amjad Nassar Awad Hawshiya died of wounds he sustained from Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in central Ramallah, security sources told WAFA. The sources said the martyr was from the town of Yatta and lived in Kafr Aqab. He was injured during clashes at Al-Manara roundabout.

The occupation forces also raided several homes on Rakab Street and the Ein Misbah neighborhood in Ramallah, ransacked their contents, and conducted field investigations with a number of young men.

In the town of Nazlat Issa, north of Tulkarm, a young man was shot in the foot by Israeli occupation forces while near the separation wall. He was taken to the hospital, where his condition was described as stable.

Later Tuesday morning, Samer Bassam Al-Zagharneh, from the town of Al-Ramadin, south of Hebron, was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces near the Dhahiriya crossing south of the city. Security and local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on him, critically wounding him and subsequently succumbing to his injuries. His body was handed over to Palestinian medical personnel.

In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 986 Palestinians and the injury of approximately 7,000 others, according to Palestinian data.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 190,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced.
