The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of Wadih Muhammad Samamra (19 years old), after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near the town of Adh Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, where his body was being held.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Adh Dhahiriya in several military vehicles and raided the martyr's home in the Al-Baha area. Security and local sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers fired live bullets at the young man near the Shama settlement, claiming he had attempted a stabbing attack. They then arrested him while he was wounded before declaring the area a "closed military zone."
In a separate incident, Rabi' Taqatqa, 31, was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces near the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, and his body was also seized. According to WAFA, Israeli occupation forces shot him at the western entrance to the town, claiming he was in possession of a knife, before arresting him . Paramedics confirmed that Israeli soldiers sealed off the entire area and prevented medical crews from reaching him.
Following this, the Factions Coordination Committee in Bethlehem Governorate declared a general strike on Saturday in the town of Beit Fajjar and a period of mourning throughout the governorate, in condemnation of the "crime of field execution" and the withholding of the martyr's body.
In another escalation, Israeli settlers renewed their attacks on Palestinian residents of the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem. Kisan Village Council head Musa Abayat told WAFA that these groups attacked families in the Deir Alla area and threatened to evict them from their homes.
Earlier that morning, the area had witnessed similar attacks targeting Palestinian homes, displacing 10 families , seizing their property, and destroying solar panels and the water network.
According to the same source, settlers set fire to homes belonging to Palestinian families and uprooted approximately 300 olive saplings in the area, as part of repeated attempts to impose control over the village's lands.
In the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, a 14-year-old Palestinian boy was shot in the leg with live ammunition by settlers who stormed the eastern part of the village and approached the vicinity of its kindergarten, according to eyewitnesses who spoke to WAFA.
Amin Abu Aliya, head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, explained that Israeli occupation forces stormed the village following the attack, conducting foot patrols among the residents' homes, and closing the only entrance to the village, preventing ambulances from arriving. Medical teams were later able to transport the child to a hospital in Ramallah.
According to data from the Palestinian governmental Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 2,153 attacks during the first half of this year, resulting in the deaths of 6 citizens.
In parallel with the annihilation of Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,008 Palestinians and the injury of approximately 7,000 others, according to Palestinian data.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US backing, has waged a war of extermination in Gaza, leaving more than 203,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many.
