User registration trial thread with Facebook account

 Meta has begun testing a new option that allows users to register for the social media platform Threads using their Facebook accounts, instead of just Instagram.

As reported by Engadget on Thursday, this feature was first spotted by Social Media Today and has been mentioned in Meta's official help article, although it is not yet widely available.

This new option allows users without an Instagram account to still create a Threads account. Besides simplifying the registration process, this step is also believed to impact the type of content and ads displayed to users based on Facebook data.
