Utut Adianto Chess School is committed to continuing to develop young chess players

The Utut Adianto Chess School (SCUA) is committed to continuing to develop young chess players in the future.

This was conveyed by SCUA owner Eka Putra Wirya during the thanksgiving event for SCUA's 33rd anniversary at the Utut Adianto Chess School (SCUA), Bekasi.

"We continue to develop young chess players to continue to play on the world stage. But this is all a life journey, and it's up to them (the chess players) to decide whether or not they want to continue playing chess.

Eka Putra Wirya explained that his task through SCUA is to light small candles that will illuminate the Indonesian chess ecosystem in the future.

Moreover, Eka believes that all chess developments are determined by the chess players themselves, whether they want to continue their careers in the world of chess or not.

Having been coaching chess for 33 years through SCUA, Eka said that his consistency was achieved thanks to his love for the world of chess.

This is then followed by implementation through the formation of a coaching ecosystem starting from the lowest age group to the senior level.

"I said this was possible because of extraordinary love. I also founded a museum; it will be a house of learning," said Eka.

"So, future generations can also visit the museum to learn about chess," he added.

The General Chairman of the Indonesian Chess Association (Percasi), Utut Adianto, said that SCUA is a place to design chess players to become good and organized athletes.

"We design well, providing opportunities through training. We leave the results to each individual's life journey," said Utut Adianto.

"This is so we understand that investing in human resources is somewhat different from investing in a factory. If a factory has an installed capacity of 20,000 tons, the output will be 20,000 tons, but the human resources must be continuously maintained, supported, and monitored," he added.

In addition to commemorating the SCUA anniversary, this event also held a thanksgiving for the award from the ASEAN Chess Confederation given to SCUA owner Eka Putra Wirya.

Then, a ceremony was also held for the success of the athletes who won medals at the 2025 Eastern Asia Chess Championship and the 2025 Pre-SEA Games.
