Pediatrician Dr. Jessica Sugiharto, Sp.A, said that in terms of growth and development, vaccinations and nutritional needs are preventive measures to prevent dangerous infections and ensure children's health.
"So, we can achieve healthy children by first getting them checked, and then remembering to prevent infections. Most often, we always promote vaccinations," said the Udayana University-educated pediatrician in a webinar with the Halodoc platform, monitored from Jakarta on Tuesday.
He continued, "Vaccines are a proven immune system stimulant designed to benefit a child's developing body. Vaccines offer a variety of benefits, including protecting children from various dangerous diseases like polio and preventing serious complications that can lead to disability."
