World Boxing Council interim women's flyweight champion Kenia Enriquez is determined to continue her career in Mixed Martial Arts Combate Global after experiencing uncertainty in her boxing career.
"Kenia has signed a multi-fight promotional contract with the MMA organization Combate Global, which was announced reported The Ring website, which was monitored.
Enriquez, 31, has not fought in boxing since February 2024, when she defended her WBC interim title against Maria Salinas.
The Tijuana, Mexico native initially won the interim belt by defeating Ibeth Zamora Silva in September 2023. Enriquez also held the World Boxing Organization (WBO) secondary flyweight title in 2014 and the WBC interim junior flyweight title from 2018 to 2020.
