The ministry said in its daily statistical statement that "hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 60 martyrs and 344 injuries over the past 24 hours, as a result of the ongoing Israeli attacks."
She explained that the death toll among those waiting for aid has risen since May 27 to "1,965 martyrs and more than 14,701 injuries," following the martyrdom of 27 Palestinians and the injury of 281 others in the past 24 hours.
In this context, the ministry stated that the death toll from Palestinian casualties since Israel resumed its genocide on March 18 has risen to "10,460 martyrs and 44,189 wounded."
Over the past 24 hours, Gaza Strip hospitals recorded five deaths, including two children, as a result of famine and malnutrition, bringing the total number of deaths since October 7, 2023, to 263, including 112 children, according to the same statement.
The ministry noted that a number of victims were buried under the rubble of destroyed homes and on the streets, and that ambulance and civil defense crews were unable to reach them due to a lack of equipment or because they were located in areas where the Israeli army was intensifying its military operations.
Displacement from Gaza
Meanwhile, some Palestinian families have begun fleeing the eastern areas of Gaza City, which are under constant Israeli bombardment, to locations further west, fearing an imminent Israeli attack, while others are considering heading south.
An Israeli armored vehicle incursion into Gaza City could displace hundreds of thousands of residents, many of whom have already been displaced multiple times earlier in the war.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said last week that 1.35 million people already need urgent shelter supplies in Gaza.
Delegations in Cairo
In a related development, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati announced on Monday that Palestinian and Qatari delegations are in his country to discuss efforts to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
This came during his speech at a joint press conference outside the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing with Gaza, with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, who was attending the crossing for the first time.
This comes on the sidelines of the second and final day of Mustafa's visit to Egypt to discuss reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
"Greater Israel's Illusions"
The Egyptian minister said that "the Israeli occupation authorities are imposing restrictions on the operation of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing" with the Gaza Strip, adding that his country is prepared to "flood Gaza with all aid, provided that the Israeli obstacles are removed."

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
In addition to the martyrs and wounded, most of whom were children and women, the genocide left more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that claimed the lives of many.
