This came in a joint statement issued by the partners on Tuesday regarding the restrictions facing humanitarian relief operations and the work of civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip.

"Human suffering in Gaza has reached unimaginable levels. Famine is looming before our eyes. Urgent action is needed to halt and reverse the famine," the statement said, stressing the need to protect aid and depoliticize it.

The statement called on the Israeli government to allow the entry of aid shipments from all international non-governmental organizations and to remove obstacles to the work of essential humanitarian actors.

He also stressed the need for the United Nations, international NGOs, and humanitarian partners to take immediate, sustained, and concrete steps to facilitate safe and widespread access to aid.

The partners expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the United States, Qatar, and Egypt in securing a ceasefire and pursuing peace, stressing the need for a ceasefire that ends the war, releases Israeli detainees, and ensures unimpeded access for aid to Gaza by land.

The statement was signed by the foreign ministers of: Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Administration of Southern Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The Israeli war of extermination on the Gaza Strip left 61,499 Palestinians dead, 153,575 injured, and more than 9,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and famine claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
