Medical sources and eyewitnesses reported that Israeli aircraft and artillery targeted homes, civilian gatherings, schools being used as shelters, and tents for those waiting for humanitarian aid, resulting in new massacres against the displaced.
On Friday evening, seven Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a tent inside the Majida Wasila School in central Gaza City. This was the second attack on a shelter in a single day, following previous massacres that claimed the lives of 35 other Palestinians.
In northern Gaza, the death toll rose to seven, including two children, following the bombing of the Musa bin Nusayr School, which was sheltering displaced people in the Al-Daraj neighborhood east of the city. Meanwhile, two Palestinians were killed in two raids on civilian gatherings in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Three others, including a child, were killed in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City after a civilian gathering was targeted. Meanwhile, shelling near the Communications Junction in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, killed three people and injured 13 others.
Six Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid trucks were also killed by Israeli forces near the Zikim area, west of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
In the southern Gaza Strip, three Palestinians were killed in shelling on the southwestern outskirts of Khan Yunis, while two other Palestinians were killed northwest of Rafah while waiting for humanitarian aid.
In the central Gaza Strip, ambulance sources reported on Saturday that six Palestinians from one family, including four children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Al-Bureij refugee camp.
Three Palestinians were also killed Friday evening by Israeli occupation forces while waiting for aid near the Netzarim junction. Meanwhile, shelling targeting a tent for displaced persons on top of the outpatient clinic at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah killed two people and injured others.
An airstrike near the Kissufim crossing also killed three Palestinians, while a fourth was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Matahin junction east of Deir al-Balah.
The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that the targeting of the tent for displaced people inside the walls of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital represents the thirteenth attack on the hospital since the beginning of the war, considering it "reflects a clear determination to destroy the health infrastructure in the Strip and a flagrant violation of all international laws."
The office held the Israeli occupation, along with the US administration and "complicit states," fully responsible for the "crimes of genocide" against Palestinian civilians, calling on the international community, the United Nations, and its humanitarian and human rights organizations to take immediate action to halt these crimes.

In this context, the UN Human Rights Office revealed that the Israeli occupation army has carried out 11 attacks on personnel securing humanitarian aid convoys since the beginning of August, resulting in the deaths of 46 Palestinians, most of whom were civilian police personnel tasked with protecting the supplies, in addition to a number of civilians waiting for them.
The office explained that these repeated attacks have contributed to the worsening chaos and deepening famine, stressing that civilian police personnel enjoy full protection under international law, and that targeting them falls within a "deliberate pattern" of attacks that threatens the population's access to vital necessities.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the occupation's targeting of aid distribution sites and routes between May 27 and August 13 resulted in the deaths of 1,760 Palestinians, including 994 near the US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation points and 766 along supply truck routes. The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll among those waiting for aid had risen to 1,898, with more than 14,000 injured during the same period.
For his part, Stéphane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Secretary-General, said that reports of Palestinians killed and injured while waiting for humanitarian aid in Gaza are "extremely worrying," noting that civilians are forced to risk their lives to obtain food after a five-month gas shortage and the increasing number of malnourished children being transferred to hospitals daily.
Dujarric reiterated the United Nations' rejection of Israel's decision to expand the occupation and forcibly displace Palestinians, warning that the deteriorating humanitarian situation could worsen if the rapid, safe, and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip is not ensured.
Ongoing battles
Meanwhile, the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), broadcast footage it said showed Israeli soldiers and vehicles being targeted along the incursion routes east of Gaza City, as part of a series of "Stones of David" operations.
The footage shows the division's fighters sniping at Israeli soldiers and targeting Israeli vehicles with "Yassin 105" shells in the neighborhoods of al-Tuffah, al-Zeitoun, and al-Shuja'iyya, as well as shelling Israeli military sites with mortar shells east of Gaza City.
Qassam fighters shot an Israeli soldier on Baghdad Street in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, and another on Mansoura Street in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood. Footage showed the two soldiers falling after being targeted.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The Israeli genocide left 61,827 Palestinians dead and 155,275 injured, most of them children and women. More than 9,000 people were missing, hundreds of thousands were displaced, and a famine claimed the lives of 240 people, including 107 children.
