The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, quoted the Palestine Liberation Organization's Department of Refugee Affairs as saying that the Israeli military operation, which has been ongoing since January 21, and which began in the city of Jenin and its camp and then extended to Tulkarm and the Nur Shams refugee camp, has resulted in the deaths of 58 Palestinians and the injury of hundreds more, in addition to widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure.

The department explained that Jenin Governorate alone recorded 44 martyrs, including children, in addition to hundreds of wounded. It noted the ongoing forced displacement of approximately 22,000 residents from the camp and its surrounding areas, equivalent to a quarter of the city's population.

The number of Palestinians detained has risen to 250 since the start of the aggression, while more than 2,000 students have been deprived of education, according to the same source.

She added that the occupation forces continue to alter the landscape of Jenin camp by opening new roads and demolishing entire neighborhoods, with more than 650 buildings razed, leading to a near-total collapse of the infrastructure.

She noted that approximately 70% of the camp was destroyed, resulting in a new geographical reality within the camp, characterized by newly constructed streets and disjointed neighborhoods.
