A Palestinian was killed and eight others were injured by settler gunfire during an attack south of Nablus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that "the toll from the settlers' attack on the town of Aqraba reached one martyr and eight injuries, including an elderly man."

The association explained that its crews transported the injured to hospitals, noting that seven of the wounded were in their twenties and thirties and had sustained injuries to their lower extremities, while a man in his fifties was shot in the hand.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the young man, Moein Sobhi Muhammad Asfar (24 years old), was martyred after being shot by settlers during the attack on the town of Aqraba.

In this context, Voice of Palestine Radio reported that "settlers attacked citizens' lands on the outskirts of the town of Aqraba," and published video clips on its digital platforms, which it said documented "the moment civilians were shot during the settlers' attack on the Mahfouriya plain, near the towns of Aqraba and Jurish, southeast of Nablus."

For its part, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that the number of martyrs killed by settler bullets since the beginning of 2025 has risen to 9 martyrs, while the total number since October 7, 2023, has reached 31 martyrs, in "a series of escalating attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank, often with the direct complicity of the occupation forces," according to its statement.

According to data from the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 2,153 attacks during the first half of this year.

In parallel with the war of extermination, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 1,011 Palestinians, the injury of approximately 7,000, and the arrest of more than 18,000, according to official Palestinian data.

Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 209,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and a famine that has claimed the lives of many.
