American executed in Rosarito; two gas station employees injured

Tijuana, February 8.- Gunmen killed an American and injured two employees at a gas station in Rosarito Beach.

According to police sources, José Julio “N,” 38, is a resident of Los Angeles, California, and has a history of carrying a firearm.

The victim attempted to flee, however, the hitmen caught up with him and shot him dead. In the confrontation, they wounded Rogelio “N,” 43, and Valeria “N,” 18, workers at the Conoco gas station.

The deceased was located by authorities inside a Hummer-type vehicle with Baja California license plates. 

The vehicle's windshield glass was riddled with bullet holes, and several spent shell casings were found at the scene.

Meanwhile, at 4:03 a.m. today, on the extension of Second Street near the Mirador Bridge, the body of a man between 40 and 45 years old was found wrapped in a green sleeping bag, with signs of violence and a blanket with threats. 

A few minutes later, at 4:33 a.m. this Wednesday, on Estado 29 Street in the Cañón de las Rosas neighborhood, a dead person was found wrapped in a sheet with a message on it.
