This came in the final resolution of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the western Saudi city of Jeddah on Monday. The meeting, which began earlier on Monday and was chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the current president of the council, was held to consider developments in the Israeli war of extermination in Gaza.
The final statement emphasized the organization's strong condemnation of "the ongoing Israeli aggression" and its complete rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their lands under any pretext.
The statement called on the UN Security Council to hold an extraordinary session during the UN General Assembly meetings next September to discuss the Israeli aggression, instructing delegations of member states to coordinate with the State of Palestine in this regard.
The meeting also condemned "Israel's insistence on expanding its criminal military operations in Gaza" and its disregard for international calls to halt the war. It held Israel fully responsible for the ongoing aggression and the worsening humanitarian catastrophe, including the holding of hostages and the denial of humanitarian aid to civilians.
In a related context, the ministers expressed their condemnation of Israel's rejection of the latest proposal presented by the mediators, Egypt and Qatar, which was accepted by the Palestinian side and would have led to a ceasefire, a prisoner exchange, and guaranteed access to humanitarian aid.
The statement affirmed support for the efforts made by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to reach a comprehensive ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange.
In light of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the participants called on Israel to open all crossings and allow urgent and unconditional entry of humanitarian aid to ensure the basic needs of the population are met. They also called for the referral of the "crimes of starvation and siege" to the International Criminal Court.
The foreign ministers condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent statements regarding what he called his "Greater Israel Vision," considering them an extension of his rhetoric of incitement and extremism, and a violation of state sovereignty, the rules of international law, and the United Nations Charter.

The statement concluded by calling on the Security Council to take urgent action under Chapter VII to halt Israeli aggression and end violations that threaten the prospects for implementing the two-state solution, stressing that continued Israeli escalation endangers the security and stability of the region and undermines the prospects for peace.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The Israeli genocide left 62,744 Palestinians dead, 158,259 wounded, most of them children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that killed 300 Palestinians, including 117 children, as of Monday.
