Bank Sumut held the Auditor Cup 2025 Tournament as a gathering event ahead of the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2025.
"This is a gathering event entitled Great Auditors, Healthy Auditors, which we are holding in Medan, Wednesday-Friday, August 6-8," said Bank Sumut Corporate Secretary Suwandi in Medan, Friday.
He stated that this tournament was being held for the second year, with 18 supervisory agencies from various sectors participating. Bank Sumut served as host and initiator, featuring two main events: table tennis and mini soccer.
"This is a forum to strengthen togetherness, hone sportsmanship, and build cross-institutional collaboration," said Suwandi.
Bank Sumut, as a regional development bank owned by the North Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov), has consistently provided full support since the start of the match.
This year there are two competition numbers, namely table tennis on the 10th Floor of the Bank Sumut Building, Jalan Imam Bonjol Medan, and mini soccer held at the Medan Mini Soccer Field, Jalan Ngumban Surbakti Medan.
"We are proud to host this event again. This demonstrates Bank Sumut's commitment to supporting cross-agency collaboration, not only in the banking sector but also in building healthy and productive professional networks," said Suwandi.
He also detailed that 18 teams from various agencies participated in the table tennis event, with each team consisting of a maximum of 18 people, including reserve players and officials.
"The mini soccer branch was also attended by 18 teams from the same agency," said Suwandi.
Head of the North Sumatra Representative Office of the Indonesian Audit Board, Paula Henry Simatupang, expressed his appreciation to Bank Sumut for facilitating the implementation of this activity.
He hopes that this tournament can continue to be an annual event and strengthen relations between auditors in the North Sumatra region.
"This tournament isn't just about finding a winner, but also about building camaraderie, fostering teamwork, and fostering a collaborative spirit among auditors," Paula said at the opening of the Auditors Cup 2025 Tournament in Medan.
