Tijuana, March 19.- A beam and several rods collapsed on a group of workers building the Elevated Viaduct, leaving them with injuries, primarily to their legs.
According to unofficial information, four people were injured: three of them were assessed in yellow condition (moderate) and one in green condition (mild).
The incident occurred Wednesday morning on the construction site located on Ferrocarril Avenue in the Libertad neighborhood.
Firefighters and Red Cross paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victims to a nearby hospital for specialized medical care.
On January 24, two people working on the construction of the Elevated Viaduct were trapped when a wall collapsed on the construction site in the Otay Canyon section .
On the other hand, at least 30 people working on the viaduct's construction reported being fired without notice, explanation, or even severance pay or with incomplete payments
