Besiktas confirmed that it has terminated Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's contract, one year early.
The Turkish club confirmed they had paid the 32-year-old midfielder 1.75 million euros (approximately Rp33.3 billion) to end his stay in Istanbul. Oxlade-Chamberlain's contract was originally set to expire in 2026.
Several British media outlets reported earlier this month that Championship club Birmingham City were among those to enquire about the player's situation as they try to build a squad to compete for promotion to the top flight.
