Celta Vigo drew 1-1 against Real Betis






Celta Vigo had to settle for a 1-1 draw when they hosted Real Betis in the sixth week of the Spanish League at Balaidos Stadium, Vigo.

In this match, Real Betis actually took the lead first through Marc Bartra, before Celta Vigo equalized through Hugo Alvarez, according to La Liga records.

This draw leaves Celta Vigo in 13th place in the La Liga standings with two points from three matches, yet to taste victory this season.

On the other hand, Real Betis rose to sixth place in the Spanish League standings with five points from one win and two draws, after three matches.

Statistically, Celta Vigo provided more threats with 14 shots, five of which were on target, while Real Betis had 53 percent possession.

Betis created the first chance of the match and threatened with a shot from Rodrigo Riquelme that was blocked by the Vigo defense.

Manuel Pellegrini's side took the lead just before half-time with Marc Bartra heading home a Giovani Lo Celso pass to make it 1-0 in the 45th minute.

Entering the second half, Vigo was able to respond well and managed to equalize the score to 1-1 in the 47th minute through Hugo Alvarez's goal who grabbed a rebound ball inside the Betis penalty box.

Then, in the remaining time, Vigo continued to try to find the winning goal, but until the final whistle was blown, the score remained 1-1 for both teams.
