Dewa United Esports has officially recruited young Filipino player John "Qinn" Carlo as a new player to strengthen the squad for the 16th regular season of Mobile Legends Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID).
The foreign player will fill the EXP laner position in the team nicknamed Anak Dewa.
"MPL Indonesia has very tight competition with a large fan base, so I'm very excited to be able to compete here," Qinn said.
The new player in the Anak Dewa roster considers MPL Indonesia to be one of the most prestigious competitions with a high level of competition.
"This opportunity provides a platform to continue developing and proving our abilities at a higher level," he said.
Dewa United Esports management hopes that the presence of this player will strengthen the team's playing style, especially in team fight strategies .
His aggressive playing style is considered to be able to open up more space for his teammates to perform optimally.
Before being recruited, he was a young talent playing for Maru Esports.
He's known for his aggressive playing style and excellent micro skills . With his previous team, Qinn won several championships in community tournaments in the Philippines.
Qinn's move to Dewa United Esports marks a major milestone in his career.
This season, the team is determined to secure its first win after a difficult start. With the addition of new ammunition, the team is optimistic about competing better in the regular season phase of MPL ID Season 16.
In the second week of the competition, Dewa United Esports is scheduled to face NAVI and Liquid ID.
