Dewa United, the second-placed team in the 2024/2025 BRI Liga 1, will fill the 2nd Eastern Region spot in the AFC Challenge League group draw which will take place on August 28 at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Besides Dewa United, another position in hat 2 is filled by Myanmar club, Shan United FC.
In the eastern region, there are four hats, each filled by two teams. Meanwhile, in the western region, there are four hats, each filled by three teams.
In the group stage, the eastern region, where Dewa United resides, will be divided into two groups. Each group will consist of four teams drawn by lot. The matches for the eastern region will be played on October 26, October 29, and November 1.
For the two groups in the eastern region, namely Group D and Group E, only the group winners and the second-placed teams of each group are entitled to qualify for the quarter-finals.
