Novak Djokovic was again far from his best at the US Open but he maintained his perfect record in the second round in New York to reach the third round for the 19th time.
Djokovic struggled with footwork as he defeated Learner Tien in his first match since his semifinal exit at Wimbledon. Three days later, the Serbian failed to find his best form as he defeated American qualifier Zachary Svajda 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-3, 6-1.
"Honestly, not very good," Djokovic said when asked about his performance, as broadcast by the ATP.
