East Zone General Hospital is 80% complete

 Tijuana, June 7. The construction of the East Zone General Hospital in Tijuana is 80 percent complete and will benefit more than 500,000 people, said Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda.

Accompanied by the Secretary of Health, José Adrián Medina Amarillas, and the Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territorial Reorganization, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, the state leader supervised the progress of the hospital's construction.

He emphasized that this hospital complex will include emergency, obstetrics-gynecology, bedridden, administrative, and outpatient departments.

"We're already 80 percent complete. We're certainly lacking in terms of equipment , but in terms of infrastructure, we're already making significant progress to serve hundreds, even thousands, of Tijuana residents," he said.

Medina Amarillas noted that, given the need for rapid and efficient care for accident and injury patients, the emergency department will be fully operational and equipped to provide high-quality care.

Espinoza Jaramillo mentioned that the construction covers 12,597 square meters of total area and has an investment of 207 million pesos .
