Representative on leave will be administrative director of the BC Congress

 

Mexicali, July 4. Víctor Hugo Navarro Gutiérrez, a local representative on leave, was appointed administrative director of the Baja California Congress.

The Morena legislator, who requested permanent leave of absence effective June 20, replaces Santos de Jesús Alvarado.

Navarro Gutiérrez has served as a local representative twice and as president of the State Legislative Branch Administration Commission.

The appointment, endorsed by a majority of deputies in a session of Congress, comes 26 days before the end of the current legislative term.

It has been reported that Santos de Jesús Alvarado has resigned because he will be the Finance Secretary in the administration of Rosarito Beach Mayor-elect Rocío Adame Muñoz.

Navarro Gutiérrez could be ratified in the next legislative session, although this will depend on the agreements reached by the members of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) regarding the appointments to the so-called technical bodies.
