FC Utrecht took a big step towards Europa League qualification after securing a 2-0 away win in the first leg of the play-off round.

FC Utrecht beat Zrinjski Mostar in Bosnia, with Indonesian national team prospect Miliano Jonathans starting, according to UEFA's official website.

FC Utrecht put in a solid performance in Bosnia in this match. The opening goal came in the 39th minute from a penalty kick converted by David Min after the referee, assisted by VAR, ruled a Mostar defender had handled.

The penalty was awarded after Niklas Vesterlund's cross hit the defender's hand.
