Tommy Fleetwood and Patrick Cantlay shared the top spot in the US PGA Tour Championship on Sunday, with each recording a total of 194 strokes, or 16 under par, at East Lake, Atlanta, Georgia.
Flentwood atoned for a double bogey on the 15th hole with birdies on the 16th and 17th holes. Meanwhile, Cantlay shot to the top of the leaderboard, thanks to his success in scoring four of six birdies in the last five holes.
"Today's round never really flowed for me, because it was so difficult," Fleetwood was quoted as saying by Yahoo Sport.
"The conditions were damp. It wasn't cold, but the air was different, it was windier, and I found it a bit more challenging today. "But one thing I was really happy with was my putting," he continued.
Both held a two-shot lead over Russell Henley, who began the day as the joint leader. Henley shot a 69 on Sunday, taking his total to 196.
Keegan Bradley posted the best round of the day with an eagle and six birdies, resulting in a seven-under-par 63. He finished fourth with a total of 197, one stroke better than world number one Scottie Scheffler.
