Mexicali, May 29. Current and former councilors of the Baja California State Electoral Institute (IEEBC) appeared at the indictment hearing for electoral crimes under Criminal Case 10344/2022, filed by Salvador "N" (Citizen Movement) representative before the same body.
Although Control Judge Gerardo Anguiano Ceja initiated the hearing with Unique Case Number 0204-2021-21654, composed of the Baja California Electoral Prosecutor's Office, no representative attended, so the hearing could not be heard.
The president of the electoral body, Luis "N", the councilors Abel "N", Olga "N" and Jorge "N", in addition to the former councilors Lorenza "N", Graciela "N" and Daniel "N" appeared at the hearing because the complaint corresponds to the 2021 electoral process.
In addition, Perla “N,” an institute official who was the only one who requested a public defender, and Raúl “N,” the current executive secretary, were charged.
