Mexico City, August 9.- Four alleged members of the Sinaloa cartel's Gente Nueva group were killed after soldiers and armed individuals clashed early Wednesday morning in the Juárez Valley area of Chihuahua.
The confrontation occurred around 4:00 a.m. when uniformed officers stopped a convoy of at least seven trucks at a checkpoint, prompting the alleged members of the Sinaloa cartel's operational wing to attack the soldiers.
The confrontation occurred on the Guadalupe-Tornillo international crossing bypass, leaving four people dead, the Ministry of National Defense reported.
Members of the State Public Security Secretariat, the National Guard, and other agencies arrived at the site.
