Young Italian center-back Giovanni Leoni has completed most of his medical with Liverpool, journalist Fabrizio Romano said.
Romano said the 18-year-old defender would sign a six-year contract until 2031.
"Giovanni Leoni has completed most of his medical and signed his contract as a new Liverpool player!" Romano wrote on his X account on Friday.
"Additional exclusive details: the contract runs until June 2031, a six-year deal at #LFC. An official announcement will follow this week," he added.
Romano revealed that Leoni's transfer fee is 35 million euros (Rp659 billion). There's no option for Leoni to remain at Parma on loan, as Liverpool manager Arne Slot wants the 1.96-meter-tall defender to be part of his squad.
