Tijuana, April 20.— Seeking to foster among the children of Tijuana an interest in and awareness of children's rights, as well as a sense of community participation, the Office of the Ombudsman of the 24th Tijuana City Council will hold the drawing contest "Drawing My Rights, Children's Ombudsman 2023."
The Ombudsman, Rafael Leyva Pérez, reported this, emphasizing that the contest seeks to encourage children to put their creativity to work by capturing, in a drawing accompanied by a text of no more than half a page, the actions and proposals they consider necessary to guarantee respect for their rights.
He noted that these types of activities are highly relevant to ensuring that children begin to be informed in a timely manner about issues of social interest, and to develop their own judgment on the matter from an early age.
Children interested in participating must be between 7 and 12 years old and must send their drawings to sindicoinfantil24@gmail.com, or submit them in person at the offices of the Social Directorate of the Attorney General's Office, located on the third floor of the Municipal Palace. The deadline is Monday, April 24, 2023.
