Tijuana, August 17.- The immediate response of all three levels of government to the recent violent events in Baja California is unprecedented, and proof of this is that it is the state with the most arrests brought before federal authorities among entities where similar events have occurred, said Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda.
The state governor emphasized that the leader of the group that carried out the acts was arrested, along with five of his accomplices, in the city of Culiacán; the arrest resulted from coordination between Baja California authorities with the federal government and the Sinaloa State Attorney General's Office.
During the conference "Wednesday Morning with Marina del Pilar", the head of the State Executive Branch gave special recognition to the Government of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, since it had the full support of the Ministry of the Navy (Semar), the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) and the National Guard (GN), institutions that played a fundamental role in the work of the Coordination Table on Security, which was activated on the afternoon of Friday, August 12, when the first incident occurred in the city of Mexicali.
Similarly, Ávila Olmeda highlighted the value of coordination with local authorities, as the Baja California Citizen Security Secretariat (SSCBC) enjoyed dialogue and full operational readiness with the municipal corporations, as well as the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), which carried out the intelligence actions that led to the capture and arrest of those responsible.
