Grab Indonesia confirmed that two driver-partners have died and three others are currently receiving intensive care in hospital following demonstrations over the past few days.
"We express our deepest condolences and condolences for the passing of the late Affan Kurniawan in Jakarta and the late Rusdamdiansyah in Makassar," said Grab Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Neneng Goenadi in an online press conference in Jakarta on Sunday.
Neneng, representing the company, prayed that the bereaved family would be given strength and fortitude, as well as healing for the partners who were still in the hospital.
The three driver partners are Moh. Umar Amarudin who is being treated at Pelni Hospital, Aji at Tarakan Regional Hospital and Budi Haryadi at Primajaya Hospital Makassar.
