The condemnation came from UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric at a press conference at UN headquarters in Geneva, according to the UN News website.
"Journalists working for Al Jazeera in Gaza were once again victims of the conflict on Sunday," Dujarric said, explaining that "these latest killings highlight the grave risks journalists continue to face while covering this ongoing conflict" that has lasted for more than 22 months. He continued, "The Secretary-General calls for an independent and impartial investigation into these latest killings."
"a flagrant violation"
For its part, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights condemned, on Monday, the Israeli occupation army's assassination of the six journalists by bombing their tent in Gaza City, deeming it a "flagrant violation of international humanitarian law."

In the same context, European Commissioner for Equality, Hadja Lahbib, considered Israel's assassination of journalists in Gaza, including Anas Al-Sharif, a direct blow to press freedom.
This came in a statement published by Habib on her X platform account, in which she condemned the assassination of six journalists, including four from the Qatari satellite channel Al Jazeera, in the latest targeting of journalists in a genocide that has been ongoing for 22 months.
