Erdogan: Türkiye is doing everything necessary to stop Netanyahu's criminal gang's brutality in Gaza.

In a speech following a cabinet meeting in the capital, Ankara, Erdogan stressed that Türkiye is doing everything necessary to stop the brutality in the Gaza Strip and to deliver uninterrupted humanitarian aid to the starving Palestinians there.

"We have mobilized all our state and diplomatic capabilities to become a beacon of hope for Gaza," he said, adding, "We will not allow Netanyahu and his criminal gang to drag our region into greater disasters in order to prolong their political life."

President Erdoğan noted that he had held a phone call with his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas, late last week, during which they discussed Israel's renewed plans to occupy Gaza. He explained that he conveyed Turkey's firm position on the matter to Abbas.

The Turkish president emphasized that Turkey is "the country that has issued the strongest response to the brutality, genocide, torture, and injustice perpetrated by the Israeli terrorist state against our Palestinian brothers," and Erdogan expressed his hope to see Gaza regain peace, stability, and freedom.

Erdogan stressed that the Turkish people, led by civil society organizations, foundations, and associations, will never leave the people of Gaza alone. He expressed his gratitude to the tens of thousands who participated in Saturday's march from the Beyazit district to Hagia Sophia in Istanbul on behalf of the Muslims of Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement. The Israeli genocide has left 61,499 Palestinians dead, 153,575 injured, and more than 9,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
