Duran explained that Israel, without any regard for humanitarian and legal principles, continues its crimes, believing that its systematic attacks against journalists can prevent the truth from being communicated. He noted that it seeks to eliminate an entire people under siege and genocide.
Duran emphasized that it is incumbent upon all people of conscience, as well as the international community and institutions, to raise their voices more than ever before and take immediate action to halt this genocide, which marks a dark page in human history. He asserted that humanity can no longer bear this heavy burden.
The Turkish Presidential Communications Director concluded by saying, "I offer my condolences to the souls of the journalists who were killed, as well as to our Palestinian brothers, and I ask God to accept them into His mercy. I also respectfully salute all the journalists who risk their lives to convey Gaza's suffering to the world."
On Monday, 20 Palestinians, including five journalists and a firefighter driver, were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of journalists at the Nasser Medical Complex in the center of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The journalists are Hossam El-Masry, who works for Reuters news agency; Mohamed Salama, a photojournalist for Al Jazeera; Mariam Abu Daqqa, a journalist with several media outlets, including Independent Arabia and AP; Moaz Abu Taha, a journalist with the American NBC network; and Ahmed Abu Aziz, who works for Tunisian and Moroccan news websites.
