Inter Milan has reportedly reached an agreement with French Ligue 1 club RC Lens to sign talented young midfielder Andy Diouf.
This transfer is part of the Nerazzurri's strategy to strengthen their midfield ahead of the end of the 2025 summer transfer window.
According to a report from Sky Sport Italia on Friday, Inter Milan have reached a verbal agreement with RC Lens for the transfer of Andy Diouf for an initial fee of around 20 million euros (Rp. 377 billion), which could rise to 25 million euros (Rp. 472 billion) with additional bonuses.
The 22-year-old is currently finalising the details of his personal contract before undergoing a medical in Milan soon.
The French midfielder is a product of the Stade Rennais academy and played for FC Basel before becoming a mainstay of RC Lens in Ligue 1.
His consistent performances in the 2024/25 season made him a target for several top European clubs, including Napoli, who had reached an initial agreement with Diouf before Inter Milan hijacked the transfer.
Diouf's arrival is part of Inter Milan's long-term plan under new coach Cristian Chivu to refresh the squad with young and dynamic players.
Diouf is expected to be an important addition to the midfield to provide a balance between creativity and defensive solidity.
