Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly shifted their focus to signing Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers after failing to secure the signature of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.
This step was taken following a serious injury suffered by their key midfielder, James Maddison, which forced Spurs to immediately look for a replacement in this summer's transfer market.
According to a report from ESPN on Thursday (21/8), Arsenal surprisingly managed to hijack Eze's transfer from Tottenham by agreeing a fee of around 68 million pounds sterling (Rp1.49 trillion).
Spurs, who were previously confident of reaching an agreement with Palace and Eze, are now looking for alternatives to strengthen their attack.
Eze, a childhood Arsenal fan, opted to join the Gunners after the club accelerated negotiations following Kai Havertz's injury.
