Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has backed his teammate Lamine Yamal to win the 2025 Ballon d'Or award, even beating his compatriot on the French national team, Ousmane Dembele.
In an interview conducted after signing a new five-year contract with Barcelona, Kounde was asked about Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele's chances of winning the 2025 Ballon d'Or.
"You're putting me in a difficult position because Dembele is also there. I'll just say that if Lamine wins, he deserves it, as do the other players who have been outstanding this season," Kounde said, as quoted on the club's official website
