Boxer Isaac Cruz received the belt that confirms him as the interim champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC) super lightweight (63.5 kg) from WBC President Maurico Sulaiman.
"Isaac has delivered some truly thrilling fights throughout his career and has taken Mexico to the highest level," said Maurico Sulaiman in a WBA statement on the body's official website.
With a dominant and undeniable performance, Cruz defeated Omar Salcido by unanimous decision at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, United States.
