Jordanian Minister of State for Communications and Government Spokesperson Mohammad al-Momani said that a convoy of 30 trucks was attacked by settlers who threw stones at them northwest of the Gaza Strip, causing material damage to four trucks and halting the convoy's progress for varying periods of time, according to the official Petra news agency.
Al-Momani added that "Israel's leniency in dealing with these attacks threatens the safety of drivers and hinders the delivery of aid, which constitutes a clear violation of international agreements." He noted that another convoy was subjected to a similar attack last Sunday, forcing two trucks to return to Jordanian territory.
He pointed out that the obstructive Israeli measures include the imposition of new customs duties, open-ended inspections, and the restriction of crossings to official working hours, extending the convoys' journey time from two hours to more than 36 hours. He also stressed that the airdrops, carried out by Jordan in cooperation with other countries, "do not constitute a sufficient alternative to land supplies."
The government media office in Gaza had previously announced that only 853 trucks had entered the Strip in the past ten days, out of approximately 6,000 trucks required to meet minimum humanitarian needs. The statement noted that Israel, despite theoretically permitting the entry of such aid, facilitates its theft by settlers and provides them with protection.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support , has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, starving Palestinians. On March 2, it tightened its measures by closing the crossings to humanitarian, relief, and medical aid, causing a famine to spread to "catastrophic" levels.
The genocide left more than 211,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many.
