Large-scale raids in the West Bank: Military deployment in Hebron to secure settlers; Palestinian casualties reported

The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that Israeli forces stormed the Health Roundabout in central Hebron and fired live bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs at citizens and businesses. A young man was injured by live bullets in the thigh and taken to the Hebron Governmental Hospital. Several other cases of suffocation were treated on the spot.

The agency noted that the army stormed the towns of Yatta, south of Hebron, and Hizma, northeast of Jerusalem, in addition to towns in Ramallah and al-Bireh, including Silwad, Budrus, Qibya, and the al-Janan neighborhood, in addition to storming the villages of Burqin, west of Jenin, and Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya, amid the firing of tear gas and sound bombs.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces closed off central Hebron, including markets and shops, and forced Palestinians to evacuate the area to secure the raids by dozens of settlers on an archaeological site known as the "Hebron Tomb" on Beersheba Street. They performed Talmudic rituals under the protection of soldiers, according to eyewitnesses.

The settlers claim that the site belongs to an ancient Jewish figure, a claim denied by the Palestinians.

In parallel with the war of extermination in Gaza, the army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,012 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 18,500 people, according to official Palestinian data.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, and destruction. This has left more than 210,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many.
