Tijuana, August 12. Municipal Police arrested the alleged perpetrator of a multiple vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday night in the Planicie neighborhood, where a woman died and two children were injured.
The incident occurred when the driver, identified as Carla Alejandra "N," 21, was speeding in a Chevrolet Silverado . According to preliminary reports, the young woman lost control of the vehicle and struck the three people on Catemaco Street.
The initial report issued by the Fire Department indicated that the deceased was 50 years old; however, the bulletin released by the Municipal Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPCM) specifies that she was 67. Red Cross paramedics certified her death at the scene.
The SSPCM reported that the children, a 5-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, suffered significant injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. Initial information provided by the Fire Department indicated that the girl was in serious condition .
